Can't Connect to Server Node? Connected but No Internet? Here's How to Fix It

We have implemented automatic failover for most server nodes. If a node still will not connect, work through these steps in order.

1. Check your device clock

An inaccurate clock prevents a connection on its own. Depending on the protocol, an error of roughly 30 seconds to 2 minutes is enough to fail.

2. Restart the client app

Close VilaNet completely and reopen it. This re-runs node selection and applies failover information.

3. Try a different node

On the home screen open the server list and pick another node, or use Auto Select → Fastest.

4. Restart your device

A reboot resets all network services and clears stale routing or adapter state.

Please do not change your device's DNS servers to work around this. On a mainland-China network, pointing your system DNS at a public overseas resolver is unreliable and can stop the app resolving our server addresses before the tunnel is up — making the problem worse rather than better. VilaNet handles DNS for you once connected.

If none of the above helps, see All nodes suddenly stopped working.
